Cape Town has received an another accolade for its exceptional beauty, with Forbes magazine naming the Mother City one of the twelve most beautiful cities in the world. (2010)

The Compelling Cape ....
"By any standard, the Cape Town region of South Africa is one of the most beautiful and compelling places to visit on the planet ....
Here, in addition to a city with fascinating historic sites, excellent museums, vibrant markets and a handsomely restored waterfront .... I encountered mountain wilderness, rugged coastlines, sandy beaches, lush gardens, beautiful wine estates, superior hotels and some of the warmest, most welcoming people I have ever met."

Welcome to the Western Cape

Here in the shadows of the majestic Table Mountain lies the fairest Cape in the entire world. Cape Town is the gateway to South Africa. For over 350 years the cultures of Africa, Europe and the East met and mingled here. They have helped to shape a city that is at one modern and ancient, rich in history and culturally vibrant.

The Cape has witnessed many momentous events in South Africa's history: the landing of the Dutch settlers in 1652, the British invasion during the Napoleonic Wars, the rebellion into the interior known as the Groot Trek. This was here, in 1990, Nelson Mandela took his first historic walk to freedom. And it was here, four years later, that Archbishop Tutu described the new South Africa as "the Rainbow people of God".

Today South Africa is a peaceful democracy, a vibrant and exciting country of enormous diversity and beauty. The pristine coastline with its white sandy beaches, the magnificent countryside with its bountiful rivers and dams, and the unique floral kingdom, together with it’s Mediterranean climate and friendly community, makes Cape Town perfect for any vacation.

From all of us, thanks a lot for touring us around beautiful Cape - It has been a real pleasure to do it with you. Your kindness will be always remembered - we now have wonderful memories to treasure.
- Lysiane Coutanceau, Mauritius

Thank you for the 10 days you spent with us. I was so nice to have a guide/driver that did more than what was on the itinerary every morning. The beaches/marina and the brief shopping at the V&A wasn't on it but you did accommodate us very well.

Rob Taylor, Sale Consultant, Africa Dept Carrier Travel, UK

... thanks  very much for showing us your beautiful country, we really enjoyed our trip with you, also your company. We will recommend you to any future visitors.

-Richard and Gwen Brown, UK

“We wanted to say thanks again for a splendid tour of Capetown and the surrounding areas.

We especially appreciated your knowledge, enthusiasm and honesty with our somewhat "prying" questions. So often tour guides are reluctant to speak openly about their own personal views, but you were quite frank with us. Thanks so much. It made the trip much more real for us to talk to folks rather than to just focus on tourist attractions. YOU ARE THE BEST! We will certainly recommend you to our friends who may visit your homeland. We've had nothing but good things to say about you! (If you ever need any testimonials, don't hesitate to contact us!)

Your new "best friends" in California!”

- Ronald and Chloe Boutelle, Los Angeles

“Thanks for making South Africa so special”. “ Fantastic, great company, great ‘craic’ 1st  class”

- Chris and Georgina Barrett, Cardiff.

“I just wanted to drop you line to thank you so much for looking after Amanda and Sophie. They both had a wonderful time with you and enjoyed the three days with you so much. They both loved Cape Town and Sophie cried when they left. We have more clients arriving and will be giving them your contact number. Thanks again”. “Simply the best”.

- Kay Oram, Director, The Travel Shop, West Midlands, UK.

“Thanks for the incredible week, your attention and love for South Africa has been most wonderful, I look forward to returning”.
